Ms. Chowdhury Tasneem Hasin

Ms. Tasneem has completed her bachelors and M.S. degree in the field of nutrition and food science from INFS (Institute of Nutrition and Food Science), Dhaka University. She has a wide experience of more than 15 years in clinical nutrition. She has expertise on critical care nutrition (Enteral and parenteral nutrition), weight management (including nutrition therapy for bariatric patient), diabetic diet therapy, renal diet therapy, special diet for oncology, paediatric diet therapy and other disease related diet therapy and specialized counseling. She has several international publications on nutrition (“Dietary Intake and Nutritional Status of Dialysis and Non Dialysis Patients” BJN, 2013-2014 year), “Nutrition status of young children in a Bangladesh national nutrition program area case study” published in the Bangladesh Development Studies. She is a regular article writer in different electronic and print media. She is also a regular participant in nutrition talk shows in different electronic media. She was a nutrition program coordinator in CARSA (Centre of Advanced Research and Social Action). She was a guest lecturer of nutrition in different universities (SUB, SCHS, TMMC, IUBAT, etc). Also she is an external examiner of Dhaka University. She has been certified as special trained personnel on “Management and prevention of GDM”-CGDM and trained on “OKETANI”- BBF (Bangladesh Breast Feeding Foundation). Certified as a special trained personnel in AICNU Chennai, India. She is a member of BBF, NSB (Nutrition Society of Bangladesh) IPHN, Non communicable disease forum (NCD-F) Eminence of Bangladesh and Dhaka University Nutritionists Association. She is the associate general secretary of BNDF (Bangladesh Nutritionist and Dietetics Forum). She is a panel member of the first “National Diseased Based Dietary Guideline” by IPHN, WHO and NNS & member in the “national program on awareness on health, nutrition and food” in BCPS and NNP (National Nutritional Program). She has been nominated as a member for “standards harmonization with codex and other international standards” organized by Bangladesh Food Safety Authority. A member of the “Ramadan Dietary Guideline” at IPHN. She is certified as a presenter at “Asian Congress of Nutrition”. As a speaker she has attended several nutritional sessions with different corporate houses like USA Embassy, Unilever, UN- Bodies, Banglalink, Grameen phone, Airtel, Nestle, BRAC.
