• Dr. Gulshan Nigar Chaudhury is a Paediatrician & Paediatric Nephrologist (child kidney specialist) with over 16 years of clinical experience. • She diagnoses and treats the full range of kidney diseases in children, including nephrotic syndrome, recurrent urinary tract infection (UTI), blood or protein in the urine, paediatric hypertension (high blood pressure), acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), congenital and structural kidney disorders, and cystic and genetic kidney disease. • She provides paediatric peritoneal dialysis, haemodialysis, and kidney (renal) transplant follow-up care, delivered through a multidisciplinary paediatric renal and critical care nephrology service. • She is internationally fellowship-trained, having completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Nephrology at the National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore, and dedicated Dialysis & Kidney Transplantation training at Montreal Children’s Hospital, McGill University Health Centre, Canada. • She serves as Associate Professor of Paediatric Nephrology at Bangladesh Shishu (Children) Hospital & Institute (formerly Dhaka Shishu Hospital) — the country’s leading tertiary children’s hospital — and consults at Continental Hospital PLC, Gulshan 2, Dhaka. • She currently serves as International Affairs Secretary of the Paediatric Nephrology Society of Bangladesh (PNSB) and is a member of the International Paediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA), the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), and the Asian Society of Paediatric Nephrology (AsPNA). • She is active in multicentre research, including immunosuppression in paediatric IgA nephropathy (with Hong Kong Children’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital, UK) and the genetic etiology of childhood cystic kidney disease (with ICH Kolkata), and has authored numerous national and international publications on paediatric renal disease. • Her practice is built on early diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, clear communication with parents, and long-term kidney-health monitoring — committed to safe, child-centred care.
