Dr. Md. Anarul Islam

Dr. Islam is currently serving as a Locum Consultant Respiratory Physician at Bedford Hospital, UK, where he also leads the Tuberculosis (TB) service. His role encompasses: Outpatient and inpatient respiratory care Bronchoscopy and pleural procedures Weekly multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings for lung cancer and TB management Clinical supervision and mentorship for junior doctors and GP trainees Principal Investigator at the Bedford site for The Awake Prone Study Previously, he was Assistant Professor and Head of Respiratory Medicine at Uttara Adhunik Medical College and Hospital, Dhaka, where he led the COVID-19 Unit including ICU and HDU during the pandemic. His earlier roles include Consultant, Registrar, and Medical Officer in respiratory and internal medicine across multiple institutions.
