
Professor Dr. Mir Jakib Hossain is a premier Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist with over 25 years of advanced medical experience. He specializes in diagnosing and managing complex gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders, with elite expertise in ERCP and therapeutic endoscopy. Over his distinguished career, he has successfully performed thousands of complex endoscopic procedures.
A renowned clinician, Dr. Hossain has played a pivotal role in shaping gastroenterology services in Bangladesh. Throughout his Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) career since 2001, he has led departments at premier government institutions like Dhaka Medical College, contributing extensively to specialist care, postgraduate training, and academic leadership. Before joining Continental Hospital, he served as Professor and Unit Chief at the National Gastroliver Institute & Hospital, Dhaka. He frequently presents research papers at major national and international medical conferences.
